Ashley Barnett is a private violin, voice, and piano teacher and solo musician from Columbia, TN. She has been playing the violin for 20 years and was taught the Suzuki method for 13 years by Peggy Kuhn of TN. She is a 2007 graduate of Florida College in Temple Terrace, FL where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music with an emphasis in violin. She took classes in a variety of subjects including music and aural theories, conducting, music history, group piano, voice class, and private violin lessons. She was a member of the string ensemble in which she was concertmistress/assistant concertmistress for 7 semesters. She was also a member of the touring chorus, the spring musical pit orchestra, and CMENC (Collegiate Music Educators National Conference). Honors included being a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, receiving the string ensemble award, and the upper and lower division academic music awards.
Ashley is also available to play solo violin music for weddings and other special events.
